For this assignment, I interviewed my babcia, Samantha Samat. She has lived a long, incredible life full of amazing stories. She is the daughter of two Ukrainian Holocaust refugees, is a first-generation American immigrant, and a lifelong educator. This is the story of how she and my Daada, Sam Samat, finally got married, first in a tiny Ukrainian church in Brooklyn and then in a Hindu temple in Bombay as a part of a three-day ceremony. This video serves as somewhat of a memorial to my Daada, who we lost two years ago. It was a true honor to document such a beautiful love story.
